The OttExec mailing list is used to send messages to all of IEEE Ottawa officers and volunteers. To post a message send it to the above email address. Please note that this is a closed list; posting to the list is accepted from the members only. New officers and volunteers need to contact section’s communications officer(s) at ottawanews@ieee.org, to be added to the list.
Section’s Monthly Newsletter

Please note that to have the announcement in each month’s newsletter, the announcement needs to be submitted at least a week before the beginning of the month. A reminder will be sent to the OttExec mailing list for each month.
Section’s Annual Reports
The annual newsletter is published during the months of August or September each year. The main parts of the annual newsletter are the highlights of section’s activities in the last year, the major plans for the coming year, the list of candidates for executive positions, and the contact information of the section. Section’s Virtual Community
The virtual community is a web-based forum for sharing files, and having online polls and discussions between the Ottawa officers and volunteers. To apply for joining the community visit the above link and use your IEEE web account. You will join the community once your application has been approved.

Here are lists of the current chapters and affinity groups. To create a website for a chapter or group you need to contact IEEE Entity Web Hosting (EWH) at http://ewh.ieee.org/. To facilitate the creation of new webpages, a web template has been provided at http://www.ottawa.ieee.ca/resources/. E-Newsletter (E-Notice)
The IEEE E-Notice service provides the means to broadcast emails among the members of each chapter/group. As the section newsletter includes a brief summary of each announcement and is posted once a month, you can use the e-notice service to submit more details and more frequent messages to the members of your chapter/group.
