The Humanitarian Initiatives Committee (HIC) is pleased to invite you to
the first ever IEEE Humanitarian Initiative Committee workshop: Solutions
for the next Billion People. The Workshop format intersperses expert
presentations with roundtable discussion, designed to encourage
interaction between participants and speakers. This historic workshop,
which is collocated with the IEEE International Conference on
Communications (ICC2012) showcase a wireless network deployed in the
Peruvian Amazon to aid in medical treatment of patients in remote rural
communities. So exciting!
