IEEE WIE Ottawa marked its participation at the annual Carleton
University Green Energy Symposium held on 25 January 2020. The symposium
this year hosted “smart cities” as it’s theme. The WIE team got a
chance to walk through the current state of deployment of sustainable
technologies in smart cities. The event was a mind booster that gave an
opportunity to interact with bright minds. The chair of IEEE WIE Ottawa,
Anastassia Gharib, was interviewed on the Carleton University’s radio
during the symposium, which gave her the chance to talk about the
importance of sustainable and renewable energy for IEEE and promote the IEEE WIE vision.
