2013 Ottawa Photonics Student Paper Awards
The IEEE Ottawa Photonics Chapter is pleased to support the Ottawa region photonics student
research programs and the Photonics North 2013 Conference (Ottawa, June 3-5, 2013) by offering its
2013 student paper awards in conjunction with Photonics North 2013.
The following are the detailed guidelines to the contest:
The contestant must be an undergraduate or graduate student attending Ottawa region universities or colleges.
The qualified institutions are
– University of Ottawa
– Carleton University
– Université du Québec en Outaouais. (UQO)
– Algonquin College
– La Cité Collégiale
– CEGEP Heritage College
The contestant must be the first author and the presenter of a paper (either oral or poster presentation) at the Photonics North 2013. To enter the contest, simply email your name and the title of the paper to be considered for the awards to Ottawa Chapter chair: kexing.liu@ieee.org, one entry per student. There will be 2 cash awards. The winners will be announced in September 2013 and awards will be given out at an IEEEÂ Ottawa Photonics Chapter Seminar following the announcement. We would
