Abstract:
Modern digital hearing aids have come a long way since their introduction in 1996.
In addition to basic amplification, features such as multi-microphone beamforming,
noise reduction, feedback cancellation and digital wireless audio transmission are
now commonplace. This talk presents an overview of the main signal processing features
found in modern digital hearing aids and will discuss current industry trends
and expectations for future devices.
