Abstract:

Dr. John Leggat is a consultant and Senior Advisor at CFN Consultants in Ottawa. Seven years ago he retired from the Public Service of Canada and joined CFN to help the partnership with the science and technology dimensions of the practice. His presentation will describe the challenges associated with a transition from the public to the private sector and the dimensions of providing consulting services to companies that are interested in winning government contracts. He will talk about what has and what has not contributed to success the key steps in making the transition to consulting and briefly discuss what the future might hold for defence contracting in future years
