IEEE Ottawa Section celebrated its 67th AGM on Oct 28, 2011 at the Ottawa Convention Center.  It was a well attended
function.  The first part of the function was the official part where elections for the Executives for 2012 was
conducted.  The second part of the function was the banquet where awards for the Section groups, individuals and the
industries were awarded.  The key note speaker was initially Sir. Terrance Matthews but due to a last minute 
important business requirement, he could not make it and was substituted by Mr. Donald. W. Smith who is the member
of board of directors, Mitel.  He gave a talk on "Persistence to Dr-ieee-m".  The day ended with an entertainment
show by the magician, Mr. Eric Leclare which was funny and full of surprises. The master of ceremonies was Ms. Beverley
Miranda, District Governor of Ottawa Toastmasters.  The students volunteers from Carleton University, The University
of Ottawa and the Algonquin College helped in running the AGM under Dr. Abielmona's leadership.  Thanks to Prof. Calvin
