The DTW approach saves considerable time and results in much better
group buy-in.
Presenter:
André Potworowski, president of TMA, is a consultant and facilitator in
management of technology, the theory and practice of using technology to
meet the strategic objectives of an organization. He has a Ph.D. from the
University of Toronto in Physical Chemistry and Computer Science, and an MBA
from Harvard. He worked for several science-based agencies in the Government
of Canada, and was a management consultant for the last twelve years. A
Vice-President of a software development firm, he now advises technology
clients on R&D priority-setting, technology transfer, commercialization,
innovation, and evaluation of R&D programs. His past projects included
IT business development, joint ventures, and technical training in Eastern
Europe.
In the course of various assignments, he surveyed, interviewed, and held
focus groups with over 2,000 technology companies and government
institutions. A former science writer for the CBC and other media, he has
written numerous articles and reports on technology and R&D strategy.
Some of his recent clients included ASTRA Pharmaceuticals, Nortel, Newbridge,
Eurocom Corporation, the National Water Research Institute, and the Canadian
Food Inspection Agency.
