What are the Goals of TISP?

  • Empower Section “champions” to develop collaborations with their local pre-university community to promote applied inquiry-based learning
  • Enhance the level of technological literacy of pre-university educators
  • Encourage pre-university students to pursue technical careers, including engineering
  • Increase the general level of technological literacy of pre-university students for many years

Where to find TISP lesson plans for the workshops?

IEEE has developed several lesson plans as part of the Teacher In-Service Program for use by engineers and teachers. Additional plans have been developed as part of www.tryengineering.org, a resource for students, their parents, their teachers and their school counselors. Each lesson plan is tied to education standards and includes teacher summaries, student worksheets, and activities.

Many of these lesson plans are available in the following languages: EnglishSpanish, Portuguese,Chinese, French, Russian, German and Japanese.  Read more ...
